Pefki

At first Pefki was a simple fishing village for the inhabitants. Due to its natural beauty of flourishing green mountains in combination with crystal clear waters beneath, and the fact that Pefki has got one of the largest beaches in Greece, lead to that the village soon became a popular tourist destination for Greeks. Although nowadays Pefki is a modern tourist resort (also for foreign tourism) it has succeeded to keep its genuine traditional style.

Pefki has got its name from the word Pefko that means pine tree. Due to the area’s flourishing surroundings many hidden beauties are to be found & explored, such as picturesque villages up in the mountains or seaside villages bellow, waterfalls in the woods and almost unexplored beaches all around the north parts of Evia. This variety of options for tourists makes Pefki a perfect choice for even the most demanding tourist groups.

Pefki’s pebble beach (sandy in some parts) approximately 4-5 km long, offers both organized beach and unorganized. In the center, where the beach is organized, you will find sun beds/ umbrellas, beach volley, beach service and water sports possibilities and much more…

In Pefki center you will find the wide pavement 1 km long – surrounded by restaurants, ouzeries, cafe bars, shops, supermarkets & pharmacies. This large pavement is suitable for safe walks and cycling. A perfect destination for both pairs and families!
